Urgent !!! Do we need the passport to attend medical check up ???

Hi All,

I applied for a trv to stay with my husband who is foreign worker with closed work permit.

I got a mail from CIC with instructions for medicals.I have submitted my passport to vfs.

Is passport necessary to do the medicals ? Please guide !!!

Not necessarily. You need a government-issued ID in lieu of the passport, assuming you are in Canada. When I did my medicals, I showed them my BCID (an ID card issued by British Columbia, where I live). Call the medical office to verify -- it doesn't cost much. Good luck!

Hi Krithika,
No just carry the CHC letter to DMP along with any national id proof like pan card, driver lense, adhaar card..
when have you submitted, is it for NDVO?
when you got medical request ?
 
Am not sure what is NDVO ?!!!!

Ysday i got the mail from CIC.But my spouse's company through which we are applying is asking us to wait till vfs dispatches the passport !!!!

Hi Krithika
NDVO is new delhi visa office.
now a days NDVO is not sending passports and only releasing the mails for medicals .Similar is the case with me and some other people in the forum.
All of us have gone through the medicals in the way i have suggested.

Where have you applied and on which date?
 
wow... now that was a quick reply from NDVO... 5 days Medicals Request...? did you apply visitor visa Krithika?

CHC is canadaian high comission, dmp is high comission approved medical center
