Hi guys,

I am right now going trough a nightmare! I will spare to tell the whole story since I have posted it in different threads of mine. But in very short: My wife and I have received PPR, we sent the passport to the Canadian embassy in Vienna and instead of returning it to our home address in Switzerland they sent it by registered mail to the address of our consultant in Vancouver!! The embassy has admitted that they committed a mistake and did not follow our instructions to send it to Switzerland.

So the letter with the COPR and the passport of my wife is still somewhere in Canada with Canada Post. It arrived on August 4th 2017 in Toronto (confirmed by the Austrian post) and then was stuck in customs (I assume this) until August 17th 2017. Important to know is that Canada does not track incoming international registered mail anymore. However, if you type in the tracking number twice it will show you a date and timestamp of the last movement, just without saying where the letter is.

So on August 17th 2017 I saw the first timestamp on the Canada Post website. After that our letter has been scanned numerous times, see below:

17.08.2017 - 09:01
21.08.2017 - 08:07
21.08.2017 - 11:42
22.08.2017 - 23:40
24.08.2017 - 13:34
24.08.2017 - 20:19
28.08.2017 - 12:21
29.08.2017 - 11:15
29.08.2017 - 11:34

Until today it has not yet arrived at the address of our consultant in Vancouver!! It has almost been a month now since it arrived in Toronto and more than a week since it first started to show timestamps in the Canada Post tracking tool! Shouldn't it already have arrived by now??? What is going on??

Please, to all Canada Post experts! Could you please shed some light on this? Should I be worried? I am so afraid that it just goes in circles and never arrives. That would mean we would need to request a new passport and send it to the embassy again!

Thanks for all your support!
