I am a student right now.. Can I put the college phone number in work contact number or write N/A

I know its kind of silly question but I read this Operational Bulletins ( I know its expired ) and it is mentioedn that

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/bulletins/2006/ob022.asp
Indications declared residence may be in question
The employer phone number not stated on an adult application, the area code for a person’s employment is different from their home area code, or employer cannot be contacted.

For initial citizenship application, you don't need to send any work records. Where does in the application form it asks for the information?

Question 5c
i think it is referring to your own phone number where you can be reached at work. I think it is not employers number. In my case, i just wrote N/A
I think someone else with experience can shed more light onto this.
