Urgent Citizenship Requirements

Hi,
I have an urgent citizenship requirement as my potential employer says that I need to have a Canadian passport as a mandatory requirements in order to accept the job offer. It a private company and does with local provincial governments on projects but they asked that I need to have a Canadian passport as the work also involves travelling to the US a lot as their many clients are in the US. Most of their projects won't need a security clearance.

Does this also qualifies as urgent? please let know. thanks.

If the job was working with provincial governments you should qualify but it seems the need for your Canadian passport is to work and travel to the US and not to qualify to work in government contracts. As others have said no harm trying.

I have a job offer in oversea ( Dubai). I have to apply for urgent citizenship .I need to get Canadian passport to travel. What that company should give me as a prove and to whom should address it in Canada.Because I need to travel as soon as possible. Any idea please any one help me. Thanks.

Can you get visa? Unless you do not have other passports and cannot get them, i do not think it is urgent request. But ask others

Sorry, I don't understand. What's your country of citizenship, if you don't mind me asking? You should be able to get a US visa by providing the required documents and your passport.

What do you mean "Canadian Travel Documents"? Do you have a "Refugee travel document" by any chance?

Even if you had a refugee travel document, I don't think IRCC will consider a job in the United States as a valid reason for expediting your citizenship application but that is only my opinion.

If you have a refugee travel document, I'll let others with more experience on the topic answer your question.

Yes I have refugee travel documents. But United Arab emirate does not allow holder of refugee travel document to get in thats a rule confirmed from embassy. , My job offee is in dubai not USA. Iam talking about united Arab emirate . My original home country passport is expired and i can not get it. Thank for helping any idea .

Sorry, I don't understand. What's your country of citizenship, if you don't mind me asking? You should be able to get a US visa by providing the required documents and your passport.

Hi,

I am sorry to disappoint you but getting a job overseas will not qualify you for urgent processing. You can always give it a try, no harm in doing that but your chances are very slim.

One of the criteria to get urgent process, avoid losing the job. As I dont have any other option unless I get citizenship to travel. All the door is close . Or I lose the job.

You cannot lose something you don't have. Even if you are granted, urgent processing can take sometime between 3-6 months on average. Is your prospective employer willing to wait that long?

Okay, thanks for clarifying. You can give it a try but AFAIK, the probability of this getting approved in miniscule.

I would say try it. They never say that the job should be for government (Canadian/Province or city). But I guess people say that IRCC will not do UP for applying for jobs outside Canada, is coming from their experience.
