Urgent CEC application --- Help needed

Hi

I sent my application package to CIC today and just now I noticed that I didn't mention one point about my dependant in "Schedule Background form"

She is currently on Visitor visa, she applied for open work permit in 2011 and it was refused stating that she has to apply after I receive my WP extension(My work permit extention was under process at that time).

For quesion # 6(b), I checked it as NO.

I'm not sure if that needs to be YES or NO in her case.


Could some please respond if that will be an issue, as her workpermit was rejected not the VISA.

I think you should be fine since she was not rejected a VISA but just a WP. Since she is still legal to stay in Canada, it should be fine. Dont worry.

I'd wait until they email you your AOR, then you can send them any additional documents (if you want) so your application can be updated.

I'm still looking for an option to call fedex and stop the delivery.
and then sending the corrected document, not sure if it's right approach. can someone suggest...

Well, the initial review by CIC is usually to check whether you have the right documents ( if you follow the checklist, you will be ok), so they wouldn't reject your application b.c of what you put down on your Schedule Background form yet. They review the details of your application at the Visa Offices, and this is when they reject you if you didn't provide certain information. From what I've seen, it takes quite a while (could be 6 months or more) from the initial stage to the reviewing stage. So, that's why I recommend you can wait until you receive your AOR or file number, then you can fedex them additional information to be attached to your file. It's actually quite easy and it doesn't take long for them to to update your file.

But, if you want fedex to return your application so you can send everything all at once, I understand that choice as well.
