Hello Guys,
I'm new to this forum. Like other students, I also wish to study in Canada. My motive is only to study and not to immigrate. My situation is as follows:
I have studied computer engg in my primary degree in India and now pursuing PG Diploma in finance from Ireland. I have searched for course in Ottawa university and found out Masters in system's science which will go along with my undergraduate and diploma. My husband is working in Ireland. My ques are:
1. How to prove intention? Can we show education loan from India to support my ties with my country?
2. My husband is trainee accountant in an accountancy firm. He wants to apply for temporary visitor visa just to accompany me during me first week there. He can provide letter of his employment from his employer that he will come back and join his firm.
3. My brother is studying in carleton university in Canada and advised me to study master in outrage university.

Please help me, I'm running out of time. I have read expert advice here. I hope someone may have some advice for me.

There is the concept of dual intent that you need to familiarise yourself with. I think you will fall foul at obligations and ties to home country i.e. India. I would not mention your brother who you say is is in canada. This will in against you as it is one less reason for you to leave canada. Showing a loan from india looks manufactured at best and i dont think a vo will fall for it. You can apply from both india and ireland. I would always recommend you apply from your home country.

I understand you. So, is there any way we can go forward? I really like this course and it's offered by University of Ottawa. My husband is employed here.

How can I not disclose my brother's permission when it is specifically asked in visa application? Oh Man, I'm so confused..Can't I do my studies there?

What are the chances you and or your hubby can apply for permanent residency or work permit in ireland?

Isn't showing education loan sufficient to show ties with my family. My brother as also went there. He got student visa without any problem. My parent's details of PR were also gone. The issue is only that I'm married and my husband is having no property in India and neither I am having.

The only thing we can show is his employment letter from his employer. I guess, It's really difficult.

Re: student visa rejected, will apply again,,,good idea?

Hi. Things are not as bad as they look. I think we have a few things we can work with. Firstly you have only been out of the country for 6 months thats ok. Do you have copies of any correspondance with friends and family in india? What about itemised telephone bill showing regular calls to indian telephone numbers? Your husband has been back to india several times (showing that he has ties) so you need to highlight this say enclose a copy of all his passports showing his entry and exit stamps. You can enclose copies of photographs of yourself with you family and friends and dont forget your in-laws.

If it will take another 1 year or 2 for either yourself or your husband to get a work permit or PR for Ireland than you should consider the wait. Applying for a visa from Ireland to Canada based on Indian Citizenship or a work permit (or PR) for Ireland, there is a big difference in your chances of success all other things being equal that is.

The thing you need to keep in the back of your mind and I say this to everyone who is intending to apply for a visa and that is you should apply only if you are 80 or 90% confident that you will get it. Otherwise you will just put a black mark on your travel history.

Since your husband is with you in Ireland and has made several visits to india during his stay in Ireland, I am leaning towards you trying to apply for a student visa for Canada from Ireland.

We will be applying from Ireland because the process will take nearly 1-2 months and we cannot come to India for that peroid. My husband has made frequent visits to India around after every 6 months in the past 2-3 years. He is also sending money in his bank account in India to his parents. Can we show those statements as well?

I'll be getting education loan from my parent's side which will prove my relationship with my parents. I know I don't have any sufficient ties, but I am in my studies before and after marriage and my studies are clearly related to each other.

Let's see how and what happens.

Re: student visa rejected, will apply again,,,good idea?

You need to be careful regarding your husbands money transfer to his parents. If your husband is on a trainee or student visa than it is not a good idea to show the money transfers because it can be viewed that your husband is an economic migrant working to support his family back home in india. Good luck.
