Urgent!!! Can I defer my admission after the approval of 2years study permit?

Hello,

I'm a Nigerian, and I just got my visa approved for a two years masters at the University of Manitoba. I will like to defer my admission from fall 2018 to fall 2019 because of a one year Commonwealth scholarship to study in UK. I can easily defer my admission by one year at University of Manitoba because I already paid my first term tuition. My concern is; how possible will it be to enter Canada next year August to start my course and as well extend my study visa by one year in order to complete my course in 2021? Can my visa be revolked if I don't use it immediately? How possible can I extend my visa? Will I face any problem at the point of entrance?

I hope to know what you guys thinking because this is a major decision to make in my life.

You have to speak to the school and see if they will authorize the deferral.

what if they authorize the deferment of my admission bey one year, do i need to notify cic? what can i do about medical as it validity period is months

No need to notify CIC. You will eventually have to file for a study permit extension but would wait to file for that 4ish months before it expires.

Thank you. How easy can I file to extend my visa by one year? Hope I won't have issue at the POE and will this affect my application for PGWP after my 2years studies? Thanks again!
