Urgent Assistance Needed Regarding PR and Work Permit Issue

I am currently facing an issue regarding my move to Canada, and I am reaching out for guidance and support.

I recently received a job offer in Canada and successfully acquired a work permit. With this work permit, I applied for permanent residency (PR), and my PR application was approved. As per the guidelines, I must travel to Canada within six months.

However, my work permit has now been rejected. Given this situation, I am concerned about whether I can still travel to Canada on the basis of my PR approval. Specifically, I want to understand:

  • Does the rejection of my work permit affect my PR status or my ability to travel to Canada?
  • Will there be any issues due to this situation?

Call IRCC and verify, however, if your PR application is approved and you are stamped with Permanent residency counterfoil on your passport, that you means you PR is valid and that you can travel. The work permit cannot be an active status if you are approved for permanent residency as well.
