Hi All,

I am in kind of tricky situation here. I am working in USA and i am moving to Canada on Work Visa W-1 with my wife in a week's time. My wife is pregnant and is travelling with me to Canada and we are planning to have our baby in Canada on December 2016. In the mean time i also got ITA for my PR via express entry with Provencal nominee. My questions are

1) Do i need to mention about my wifes pregnancy in cover letter for PR. Will it cause any issue ?
2) Do you see any issues in travelling to Canada with my pregnant wife ? My employers says its should be ok as she have valid Canada dependent visa and they will cover pregnancy.
3)Do I need to apply for PR to my new born in canada or will the baby be canadian citizen by birth ?
4) Any complications that you can foresee in the PR process due to my wife's pregnancy.

Please advise. Any suggestions will be really helpful.

No need to mention. Pregnancy doesn't mean your family composition has changed already.

2) Do you see any issues in travelling to Canada with my pregnant wife ? My employers says its should be ok as she have valid Canada dependent visa and they will cover pregnancy.
No issues. Provincial medical plans usually take 3 months to be active. So make sure you buy private health insurance to cover for initial period.

3)Do I need to apply for PR to my new born in canada or will the baby be canadian citizen by birth ?
The baby will be a born citizen.

4) Any complications that you can foresee in the PR process due to my wife's pregnancy.
Pregnancy is a normal human activity. It neither hamper nor enhance any government application.

Please advise. Any suggestions will be really helpful.
Good luck.

You dont have to mentioned that your Wife is pregnant.
2) Do you see any issues in travelling to Canada with my pregnant wife ? My employers says its should be ok as she have valid Canada dependent visa and they will cover pregnancy.
Who will cover the Expenses?? it can be pretty expensive and generally Insurance doesn't pay for Pregnancy related expenses, Also, you will not get the Health card for next 3 months.
3)Do I need to apply for PR to my new born in canada or will the baby be canadian citizen by birth ?
You do not have to apply for PR for your baby but still have to declare it in the Family information Form after the Baby is born, that too if you haven't received the PR by then...Yes he will be a Citizen by birth if he born's in canada.
4) Any complications that you can foresee in the PR process due to my wife's pregnancy.
I dont think there will be any complication, Other then you end up paying for all the expenses around (5-8 K Normal Delivery)....But if the Baby is born before you have the PR then it can be a little bit of a challenge as you have to call CIC and update the forms and everything.
Please advise. Any suggestions will be really helpful.
Best of Luck to both you and your wife
