Hi Need help form seniors, I sent my CEC application on Feb 4, 2013 with full set of documents. Then I realized that I need to list down the full detail of my job duties and responsibilities, but I didn't.

Here is the job description my supervisor wrote, ...her responsibilities include documenting children's development, meeting with parents to discusses children and their development, providing weekly email updates to parents while continuing to provide a clean, caring, safe and educational program for young children and their families in a group setting.

I applied CEC under job experience NOC 4214 as an Early Childhood Educator. Please advice should I resend a whole full set of new Reference letter or just send them the additional full detail of job duties part? or should I withdraw it and reapply? If I have to resend them only updated letter, where should I send? Sydney office or CPP-ottawa visa office?

Thanks in advance!!

No problem, i have see many applicants have sent the documents after the application has been mailed,,,,, I thing you should send it ASAP to Sydney, as you haven't received the AOR, lets wait for the experts advice.

Good luck

Hi Anko -

To avoid confusion and chaos, I will suggest that you should wait for your AOR. The AOR email generally confirms that your file is transferred to Ottawa (CPP-O), as well as informs your file number (case number for immigration team).

Once you get the this AOR mail, you can send an email (w/ scan copy of documents) to CPP-O, or/and send the letter through courier/mail.
Please review the faq section on CIC website for more details.

Do not worry, the current processing time is 13 months (average), and you will get ample time to communicate after you get the AOR.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,
JBL

To honeysingh,
I don't understand what you mean,"...i have see many applicants have sent the documents after the application has been mailed..."

Did you mean people resend the additional information about reference letter?

To JBL, Thanks for the advice! Yes, I was thinking the same way, but I just wanted to know the best option that I can do. And I don't want them to reject my application once I received my AOR. I don't like to wait to long to update...even the processing time is 13months.

Again, How about my job duties that my supervisor wrote, any comments? Should I just send them a updated additonal part, such as the detail of duties only? please advise...seniors

Hi Anko -

I would suggest that you cover the following points in your ref letter:

1. Start Date and End Date of employment
2. The phrase "full time employment"
3. Weekly Hours
4. Your Designation
5. Your job role/duties. Use bullet points, and have at least 5-10 bullets on that. These should match your current WP NOc, as well as your actual job. Take your time on that. Try to find out keywords from HRDSC site for the NOC, and reframe/use the keywords for your bullets.
6. Signed by HR/Manager. Please tell them to include their phone number and email id.

Thanks.
JBL

Yes, I did cover all the point 1~6, except the duties part that I wans't satisfy after reading so many rejected CEC becasue of the duties part.

Again, Should I re-write a whole fresh reference letter or just up-date CPP-O about the "duties and responsibilities" part? Advice, please...Thanks!

I'd say your current letter is borderline. I would suggest revising the existing letter to include all required information, with more details on duties/responsibilities.

My supervisor revised the reference letter, basically she included the full detail of job duties and responsibilities part in the previous letter. I am worry and confuse which office should I send, because I don't have my AOR yet. Any advice?

And I just received an email from CPP-O, the officer replied, "Please communicate with the Centralized Intake office for further details: CIO-Sydney-Search-Enquiry@cic.gc.ca."

I did sent an email to Sydney last week too, but I haven't received any response yet. Should I call them before they send me AOR?

Anyone who had the similar experiences for sending the updated documents before receiving AOR or after sending the full application, especially the reference letter? Please share and advise...Thank you!

I would wait until you get your AOR, and then send it to CPP-O.

If you send it now to Sydney, without a file number, they don't have an easy way to add it to your file, and you'll be left wondering whether it was added or not.
