Urgent Advice needed for Study permit funding proof and University

Hello All,

I am new to this forum and i need an urgent advice on 3 quick questions. I would really appreciate a comprehensive response.

My situation is that i have a brother in Canada who recently got his PR. i am currently in Uk and now going back to Pakistan after i lost my job here (i was on work permit).

my questions are:

1. if i want to apply for study permit to canada then can i transfer my funds to my brothers account in canada and show that bank account which will be in my brothers name? will it be compulsory to show CIC a bank account which has to be in my own name?

2. I am looking to travel to canada in Jan 2013 but not many courses starts in Jan. does it really matter to CIC if i chose an average university in any province in canada to study? will this affect my visa application?

3. Is it ok to apply for study permit from Pakistan or is uk a better option to apply from?

1 If u show brothers account then he will be your sponsor and having a Canadian sponsor is not a good idea. Transfer ur funds to Pakistan in your bank account and show from where they came.
2 Average university does not affect ur file the main thing is ur profile.
3 Apply from the place where u have permanent status which also enables u to show home ties...

Yeah, as advised.

But make your case strong from financial point of view as well as showing and making the VO believe that you will return. The weak point in your case will be your ties to home country because you have lived abroad and your brother is settled in Canada. It doesn't mean you can't get the visa but you have to show something to the VO which makes him believe that unlike your brother, you will return back to Pakistan.

my problem is that i dont want to transfer my savings in uk to pakistan immediately because i want to reach there first then open a dollar account in Pakistan and then transfer my funds.

but in the mean time, is it possible for me to transfer my savings to my brother in canada?

do i have to show my payslips as well in order to validate these savings?

i only have 1 year payslips and these savings are for four years. please let me know what document i need to show to justify these funds.

There is a risk but u can show your bank statement of UK, funds transfer receipt, ITR, Job letter and pay slips to verify the source of income...
