I have received my COPR in Mar 2017. But, due to change in my marital status, I was asked by CIC to send additional documents of my wife which I did on August 30,2017.. I have been in IP2 stage since September 05,2017 and there has not been any change in the status.

I have received a reply from Ottawa office that my application is still in progress. The recent news suggest that
people are getting CoPR as quickly as possible. I am already worried about staying in IP2 for long.

I have already made plans for landing in Canada by February. I have quit my current job too. What is causing this delay. Please suggest

There's no delay. It typically takes 3-4 months to add your spouse to your application.

Hi Scylla, Thanks for your prompt reply. I agree to the 3-4 months usual processing time. but, in the light of quickest processing times over the past couple of months, i feel it should have been completed early. and will CiC be on holiday during December. I am afraid the processing would halt during Dec due to christmas holidays. If so, when will the office reopen again

Hello @sbodanapu, one of my friend is in similar situation and is waiting for PPR for himself and his spouse. He had submitted on 4th November. Whats your current status if you could let me know. Do you know exactly how long it takes to add a spouse?
