Urent help regarding Visitor visa to canada

Hello All,

me, my husband, my Mother, And my father ( all Egyptians) are planning to visit Canada for a one month Vacation, at this point my father and mother are in Bahrain with a permanent residence visa, My husband is in Kuwait with a temporary residence visa and My self is staying in Cairo, Egypt as a citizen but I require some clarifications regarding the following:

1) Can we submit a Family Visitor visa, where my father is the main applicant and me my mother and my husband (his son in law) are under him? I noticed that family visas are usually for a family consisting of the applicant, his spouse and children

1) if the first point is aplicable and My father will be the main applicant as he will be sponsoring the family trip but we realized that the documents uploading section is only available for the main applicant (My father in our case ) and we have more documents which we would like to upload for each family member which will support our financial status ( Such as my husband's employment letter, bank statement and proof of assets) could we upload it in the same section under the main applicant if not then please advise where it could be uploaded.

2) we are planning on submitting all our documents online so when our biometrics and passports are required at some point we will not be able to go to the Canadian embassy in Cairo, Egypt together. Can each one go individually in his/her country of residence (My husband would submit his passport and biometrics in Kuwait and my dad and mum in Abu Dhabi and me in Egypt)?

1. You cannot file a combined online application as a family. Your parents can apply together. But you and your husband would need to apply separately from your parents.

2. As your parents, your husband and you reside in different countries, processing times would vary + each visa application would be evaluated by the visa office for that country. This means all applications will not be processed by the same visa office. This also means that each applicant must demonstrate his/her individual strong ties + individual finances.

3. Each applicant can give his/her biometrics at a VAC (Visa Application Centre) that's closest to where s/he resides

Thanks so much for your reply..but may I ask if we are submitting our applications online, how does that affect the processing time? aren't we all submitting to the same visa office (where all online applications go, i don't know where exactly to be honest).
Also, Me and my mother don't work so my father and husband would be financing the trip.so if i understand your reply to the second point correctly:
1) One of our options would be that my mum and dad apply for a family visa where my dad is the main applicant and me and my husband apply for another family visa where my husband is the main applicant.
2) the other option would be that me, my dad and mum apply for a family visa as my father's financial status is much better than my husband's, and my husband applies for a normal visitor visa (his financial status would be more than perfect if he is only supporting himself).

So if I am not married, not a minor, not working and living with my parents I think my dad will be my only financial source of money, so I can't be included in my parents' application only because I am married ?

Actually we donot have a history in abroad vacations as a family but I had a Schengen in 2012 my mum had US visa 2009, me and my husband traveled to Bali vacationaction & my husband and dad have a lot of business trips to Qatar ,Saudi arabya, kuwait ,bahrain & united arab of emirates but and on a side note my husband's US visa was rejected twice in 2013.

I had a Schengen in 2012 my mum had Us visa 2009,

This could help you for your TRV.

me and my husband traveled to bali for a vaction & my husband and dad have a lot of business trips to Qatar ,Saudi arabya, kuwait ,bahrain & united arab of emirates but actually none as a family

Unfortunately, none of these countries would help.

and on a side note my husband's US visa was rejected twice in 2013.

Your husband must declare these US visa refusals in his TRV application form (Question 2 of the Background Information section).

You can include this letter although it does not help much.

we are planning to stay for a month max.

Do keep the visit to 2-3 weeks max.


You would want to go through this section of the forum to see how to present the strong ties of each applicant + a well-planned purpose of visit + immigration status + provisional hotel bookings + etc.

Instead of visiting Canada, I would recommend that your family plans for a family holiday in the UK/Europe first + your husband establishes a stronger financial situation along with stronger ties.... before any of you apply for Canada TRVs
