I prefer people waiting awhile to having them suffer and even die like they do in the US because they don't have insurance.
The thing that irks me, is I had a blood clot sitting right where it could have killed me if I had moved too much and I still had to wait. My life is kind of important to me lol.

Being a Canadian woman with a whole whack of issues (blood clots, broken foot, depression, hearing loss etc) I can attest to the poor health care system! Sure it's free, but they take forever in hospitals. I was in the hospital for a week with a blood clot, but first I was in the ER for 6 hours! The clot was in my lungs, I couldn't even get a CT scan that day, I had to wait the next day. My husband who was with me was not too impressed. The fact it is a small city hospital with lack of doctors, it's horrible. When I had my gallbladder taken out because of gallstones, went to the same hospital, waited there for 6 hours, FINALLY got in, get another ultrasound and then be told Well you need to go to Kingston (Ontario, bigger city)... I was only 17 at the time so naturally I was scared out of my mind. My mom rushed me to the other hospital, ANOTHER 6 hour wait in ER... And then a painful, no eating week in pediatrics. Ugh.

Okay I'm getting off my soapbox here haha. There are some great docs out there, don't get me wrong, but there are also some idiots too. (Like any profession!)
Call mi cynical, but trust me, 6 hours is NOT a long ER wait. I waited at sick kids for 19 hours in emerg with my daughter when she was 14 months, and she was very sick. But they treated us well, and my daughter was made comfortable, and once a bed opened up, we were moved. My son has also had medical issues and he has recieved MRI's and everything immediately when required. Maybe you should have come to Toronto? I have no issue with health care in Canada per se. I would never want to live in the u.s. I am glad if my kids take sick I can take them right away and they will b seen. What I seen America do to katrina survivors & 9/11 survivors is disgusting.

This is one of the advantages of Canada, its health care system. Yes, wait times might be long but you are not left to die. Many many other countries are different and often it costs a family tonns of money to have a sick person taken care of at hospitals.
But back to UPS sucks! Purolator sucks too.
They delivered my Application on time but they refuse to refund me for the Express mail that got stuck in Beijing only because they wanted a phone number to call ahead.

Toronto from me, is 4 hours. Prob not the fastest haha. I don't mind Ottawa for surgery, never been to their ER. But because I live in a small town, NO doctor wants to move to a small town and work in a small town hospital for small town wages. Sigh..

Back to topic at hand. I used to work for Canada Post, and my mother worked for UPS (She now works for CP) And she can tell you that people who send one package out(PEOPLE, not businesses) their package usually sits and sits and sits... CP gets it out that day. Another thing is, UPS is horrible for customer service! Either their employees are grumpy as heck all the time or they are treating them poorly!
