Yes, that's true. Get a gift dead in case you want to show the money in your own bank account. Otherwise, just a sponsorship from your father would do.
Thanks for your answer, I will be staying at my girlfriends house for the first two months in canada do you think i should write this in my sop letter as proof of accomodation or just show the 10k as proof of funds to support myself

Better not to point it. Go for POF as its legit and strong source. Once you are in there you can choose whatever you need.

Any advice on whether a sponsorship from an uncle is desirable for a student visa or not. Also, would you advise for documents required for the visa? I am applying online and the GCKey provide a list of documents that are few. But I read people saying and including other documents with their applications. I am provided with the following document checklist:

1. APPLICATION FORM
Application for Study Permit Made Outside of Canada (IMM1294) (required)

SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS
1. Passport (required)
2. Letter of Acceptance (required)
3. Proof of Means of Financial Support (required)
4. Digital photo (required)
5. Family Information (IMM5645) (required)
OPTIONAL DOCUMENTS
1. Schedule 1 - Application for a Temporary Resident Visa Made Outside Canada (IMM 5257)

I am slightly confused as I do not know what other documents I must include. I also do not see any additional space for uploading additional documents as well. Thoughts, please.

Best wishes,
Mustunsir
Hi Mustunsir,

I am in a somewhat similar situation. My uncle has funds to give me in support but transferring it to me just days before my application, I fear, is a red flag.

How did you get on? Did you submit your application already?

How can I manage such a transfer without being at a disadvantage because of a sudden inflow of funds into my account?
