Hello all,

I took medical examination for work permit in October 2016 and I believe, it is valid for one year. Can I use it for express entry if I receive ITA? Please answer me experts.

Only if you can submit your PR application by April 2017 (6 months after the medical date).

The 1 year validity refers to your landing date, but for the PR application submission, it is only 6 months.

Out of curiosity, why would you do that?

I'm thinking of going ahead with mine that I've scheduled for tomorrow because I have a NoM and there was supposed to be a draw today, nevertheless I should get ITA on the next draw.

But unless you have a sufficiently high CRS to be quite sure you'll get an ITA, why risk paying for the medicals just to wait around for 3-4 months? Why not do them right after ITA?

I'm not criticizing, just curious really...

He didn't risk anything, he did the medicals to get his work permit.

OP, go with bellaluna's advice.
