Hello everyone,

I have a question about doing medical upfront.

I live in Canada and my wife lives in India. I have included my wife in my express entry CEC profile and received the ITA on May 9th 2018. Both of ours PCC is done. At this stage can we both finish our medical exam upfront? In this case I'm not sponsoring her. She's the secondary applicant and I'm primary. Please let me know.

Thanks.

No, Medical exam is conducted post ITA. They generally ask for the ITA printout while conducting Medical Exam.

So the answer should be yes. This is post ITA situation, as per your comment.
not necessarily. The physician I visited in the US would take whoever wants to get examed although the one you go to might not be so lax. CIC's website also mentioned that it can be an upfront exam if I remember correctly.

This is best to reduce a lot of processing time in a PR case. Once you get ITA, get Medicals and PCC. Upload all documents including RPRF fee upfront on PR application.

Within a week, your PR application status will change to "Medicals passed".
