My brother applied for PR under express entry (FSW category from India) and received invitation under 'Transport category' in Dec 2023. When we checked with Panel of Doctors in our area w.r.t Upfront Medical Exam, they clearly mentioned that in their online system they have options for Worker, Student, Visitor only but nothing for Permanent Resident. Kindly advise if anyone has been in the same situation and if Upfront Medical Exam can be done.

If Upfront Medical Exam is done in any one of the categories like for eg. in Worker, will immigration officer ask us again to get the medical done during the process. We wanted to get it done upfront to reduce the processing time and avoid any delay.

Any suggestion would be highly appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

A basic research is missing on your part, unfortunately. check this - https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...da/express-entry/documents/medical-exams.html

bottom line - no need of upfront anymore, IRCC will send a request

You no longer have to do upfront medicals for PR application, you can upload a blank document in that area. They will send you a medical request later during the process and you can approach the panel doctor later with the IME number and medical instructions.
