Updates from Paris office?

My app was sent to Paris not sure when but I guess May 11 since thats when they finished and sent a letter to me, I wanna know though because I read that some people are getting updates on ECAS, is it normal that I am not seeing any updates yet and will I eventually see the updates online or do they email me or send them by mail?

Yes it is completely normal to not see any updates on ECAS. Mine went from application received to decision made /medical results received over night, it never changed to in progress. This was the case for a lot of Paris applicants, just recently we have noticed that people are starting to see ECAS change to in progress (but not everyone so don't stress). So you may or may not see updates online, I guess it depends on what officer it working on your file.

If you provided them with an e-mail address they will e-mail you ONLY if they require additional information from you. If they do not then if/when your application is approved they will mail you your COPR by regular mail.

Thanks for your reply so they mail my COPR I provided them them email but since they mail it by regular mail that would be coming from Paris I was hoping I would know sooner so I can go and bring her before the summer ends so how long would that take to arrive to my current location which is Hamilton could I see anything before hand or reach them by phone if that's something that won't delay my application or anything?

I received my COPR (I live in Toronto) 13 days after my ECAS changed to decision made.

There is no way to reach them by phone.

You will just have to wait until your ECAS shows decision made to know a better time frame for when the COPR will be mailed out.

Inquiries to Paris will not speed anything up.

Your file was received by CIC on February 27th. Best case scenario if Paris doesn't request any additional documentation and you have an extremely straight forward application you may get decision made by the end of July (according to the current trends on the Paris spreadsheet). If they request additional documentation it could be September before you hear anything.

Unfortunately there's really no way of knowing, only guessing from looking at the spreadsheet and how other applications were currently processed.
