UPDATED AVERAGE PROCESSING TIMES !!!!!!

Just finished a call with the call agent at CIC and he made a total fool out of me i swear...... my face looks like a tomato right now and im not even face to face with the guy .... Apparently....... brace yourselves .....

Processing times have been updated to 15 months !!!!!!!!!! 15 FFFFIIIIIINNNNGGGG MONTHS !!! http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/index.asp

And that is for PNP under EE even let alone others .....

The agent was so cocky and acting like a rude smarta$$ .....

Agent: "hold on hold on one second ... blah blah ... check the processing times online ..."
Me: " I checked them yesterday it was 6 months....."
Agent: "hold on hold on one second (his favourite line it seems ...) ... do you happen to have access to a computer right this second?"
Me: "yep"
-he guides me through to the page and I check-
Me: "oh it has been changed to 15 months"
Agent: "yeah we have to check things and turn every rock and we dont just look at the documents you provide and that is fine blah blah .... "

Then I argued with him over the wait we already had to go through to get the PN and now this ... and he just repeated the same stuff again and the cliche that if you have a PN it does not mean everything is okay (no shit sherlock!!)....I argued because he even refused to check the status of my application, would not even take my UCI# ....

I cannot describe how I am feeling but it is a combination between anger and disappointment ... :-\

Anyhow if those who are yet to know of this updated are not aware of it due to my post, I am sorry but I had to share it .....

I can confirm that the website estimated time moved from 6 to 15. very frustrating and discouraging.

There is already a previous discussion about this and someone on there phoned CIC yesterday and was told it was an error and would be corrected - not sure when, but it would be corrected.

Guys dont worry i called CIC today ...a very kind lady indeed...She said the 15 months is not the estimated time from AOR to PPR . She said it was a glitch in the system and they are going to fix it..Hopefully she is right....

That is odd and unbelievable!! But if you check the page, there is a news update from yesterday saying that CIC tries its best to limit the EE processing times to less than 6 months. It looks like the update from last year when EE was started. They must have received considerable amount of application in a year, that's for sure. Lets hope it's a glitch and nothing changes otherwise EE will be redundant. They will fix it for sure. Hang in there!

looks like all Express entry (FSW/CEC/PST/PNP) is now 15 months. I've checked PNP snail mail is still at 15 months. CEC pre EE was showing 17 months before today.

Wonder if they are squeezing every bit of manpower for the refugees.

ladied and gentlemen...i really did not make this up..i am the one who had to suffer during the 10 mins long convo with a cocky childish brat who had no answer but "hold on , hold on a moment" followed by a cliche line of stuff he is probably reading off the website.....


When he informed me of this he sounded like he was prepared so I do not think it is a glitch.... the slowlenss of the applications recently could be explained by this....

Call center representatives have been known to be wrong/wildly inaccurate/unsparingly inefficient more often than not. There is still hope that things aren't as bad as the links make it sound. Let's wait for CIC to make this official somewhere before getting all despondent.
