update on visa processing

so according to ircc they won't be processing non essential visitor visas due to the pandemic and will only continue to process study, work permit and pr applications. in their website they mentioned 'The processing of study permits for students will continue in anticipation of the fall study term.'
so what about the students that applied for may intake? shall i let the ircc know that my semester got deferred to fall? and if so, how do i do that?

Study permits will be processed on priority is what that means. First priority will go to those who have already applied such as you and me with accordance to the date of application.
