Hello,

I just read from CIC website about the exclusion of the following occupations from their eligibility under the CEC program effective November 9, 2013:

cooks (NOC code 6322);
food service supervisors (NOC 6311);
administrative officers (NOC 1221);
administrative assistants (NOC 1241);
accounting technicians and bookkeepers (NOC 1311); and
Retail sales supervisor (NOC 6211)

Can I ask what other options can be resorted to if you have these kinds of jobs when applying permanent residency here in Canada?

Pls help. Your response is highly appreciated. Thank you.

Thanks again Toby. It's my first time to join such forum.
Anyway, I've read about the Alberta Immigration Nominee Program but only available to Nov 28, 2013 which is a pilot project for the food service industry here in Alberta.

I've been to Canada for just almost a year but what I worry is the 4yrs maximum work here in Canada as a foreign temporary worker. We have a limited time to stay & it sucks to know that food service supervisor is no longer eligible to apply under the CEC program. Could there be a chance that the Nominee Program can be applied to us in the next year/s? Im working in a fastfood and to what I know, there's a limited number of employee that can be nominated under the nominee program. There were already 4 employees that applied to that program in our company and their papers are on process for permanent residency.

Thanks!
