@armoured what are your thoughts on Q1? From other posts on forum it seems like it should be possible. However want to double check.
My gut is that with old and new passport and evidence of name change (marriage certificate if that was the basis for change of name), will have high chance of fine at canadian port of entry.

Airline = ask the airline.

Spoke to the airline (Delta) - They said as long as she carries her old passport, new passport, PR Card and marriage certificate she should be fine.

Her travel is much later. After she's back, I will update this thread with how things went.

@Arpana31

I'm confused on this part -

"Also, you need physical new drivers license copy to apply for new pr card.
You can use the paper thingy they give you and apply."

Are you saying I need to wait for physical updated drivers license card to be able to apply for new pr card OR the temporary thing they give is sufficient to submit the PR Card application?
@Arpana31 Hi, could you clarify the highlighted part?

Hi @Arpana31, could you please clarify if we need to wait for the actual physical driver's license that comes in the mail and then take a copy of that and submit in PR update application
OR
The temp thing that they give immediately in service ontario is sufficient for the PR name update application?

@armoured your thoughts please?

I'd suggest reading the instructions.

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/application-forms-guides/guide-5445-applying-permanent-resident-card-card-first-application-replacement-renewal-change-gender-identifier.html

I don't know the answer but unless it's urgent I'd suggest waiting for the proper driver's license to avoid any issues. (The problem with the temporary one is it's only a complete driver's license together with the old one).

Note of course that I believe in all cases they mean to submit copies of the original unless otherwise specified.

Applied to update PR Card with all necessary supporting name change documents including Passport, Driver's License, Health Card, Marriage Certificate. It's been 4 months now with no updates, no responses for Webforms. She's able to travel in and out with her current PR without any problem but would be great if IRCC send the updated PR Card so all the documents are in sync. :/
