Hi everyone ,
Can anyone give me advice on an upcoming virtual hearing I have my hearing on Friday . I’m not an outspoken speaker and I’m usually nervous and try to explain things detail I wanted to know if anyone has any example on how the member asked a question and your answer it doesn’t have to be exact . I went over my case and my representative said I was going in a different direction with my answers and not straight to the point . Anyone please help . Thanks all

Just be direct , going into details will not serve your case. Sometimes, you just need to provide Yes or no answers.

Tell the truth and you do not have to have a good memory!! That was the advise of my lawyer 7 yrs ago so I will give you the same advise.

The decision maker will look at everything, your body language and your answers will be very analyzed.

I was only asked 2 questions and my lawyer was asked 10 lol my partner was asked 4.

The decision letter said this

Credibility
I have found that you both have provided credible witnesses on a balanced probability therefore I believe what has been alleged. ( We provided a shit ton load of proof all personal not general stuff)

You both testified in a straightforward manner and there were no relevant inconsistencies in either of your testimonies, this includes body language analyzed and emotional changes when asked about the real fear, verse when asked about exhibit 13 how that ring came about and the joy that brought.

Mr___ testified about in detail about certain aspects of your time together for example, when you received exhibit 13 and how you said HELL NO I am too young to be married and MR___ both laughed at the same time and looked over to each other.

I find the spontaneous details and examples and just the share about of emotions with which you provide them bear the truth.

Further, you provided extensive documentation!

While your witness had a minor inconsistency in testimony, I find that the overall testimony supports your overall credibility.
I could go on and write more, buts it 8 pages long so i shared that to say, no matter the amount of preparation you do, these people are trained to sniff out lies and if you do not have all your ducks ina row they will just deny you, so go in keep calm, speak your truth, speak clear with as many details as possible, and when you do not need details just give what they ask for and no more and you will be fine.

Good luck
