Unusual webform reply after additional document

I had provided additional document(to ammend family information form) without request to the visa processing office. I received this mail only and didn't get any document request. My application has been approved. Can anyone tell me if the document was ammended or not? I applied online.

Thank you for your email. If you are providing additional documents, as request by IRCC, and have applied online, you must submit these additional documents through your secure IRCC account. If you want to update the information on your online application, but have NOT been requested to do so, we will open up a document request in your application so that you can upload the documents. Only additional documents provided for paper applications will be uploaded to your file by the mission.



Please be advised that we can only assist in applications where India is the primary office. If you submitted and application under a permanent resident economic category, your application may be processed in Canada. You should submit the webform and indicate that you applied online via economic immigration and your additional document will be sent to the appropriate office. The mission may not be able to access your file to create. Please ensure to add your application number to the webform.



Please note there is a file size limit of 4MB per file. If your file is too big, find out how to reduce the files size.



If IRCC has not requested any document, allow 5 business days from the day you receive this email before uploading your documents to your online application. You can log in using your secure IRCC account. Please note that your documents will not be uploaded by the mission.



Please note that if you’re a student outside Canada, you may request to change your DLI prior to entering Canada if your visa has not yet been approved by IRCC. If you change your DLI after submitting your study permit and your application is still in progress, you must submit/upload a new letter of acceptance. If your visa has already been approved, you must submit a new application and pay the appropriate fees online

@legalfalcon study permit application online . What feared me is that the mail repeatedly said that the document will not be attached to the file by the mission.. I had sent webform directly to visa processing office

@Prakash39965 Was your application SDS? I had gotten the exact same reply from the High Commission in Delhi, when I had uploaded additional documents without request in December. Nothing came of it. No document request portal was opened up, and I was unable to submit the documents on my online application. I had to rely on webforms only. I'd suggest that you just ignore it.

I am trying to ignore but still want to know and the worst thing is New Delhi never picks up call ... What document did you upload bro? And was it updated at the end? Did you know anything about it?

If you submitted any additional document, which was not asked by IRCC, then only then the document will not be attached.

You mean it will not be added if the document was not on the checklist for the application?
But the first and specially the third paragraph in the mail tends to mean otherwise, isn't it? Only few people seem to be getting this reply and I found none of them have received document request after 5 days.
I think I may be able to see this if I access to Privacy Act or Access to Information Act... right?

Hey @Prakash39965. Sorry for the late reply. Was tied up these past few days. New Delhi Visa office is very inefficient with this stuff. And yes, they hardly ever pick up calls. I followed up with them twice, but the document request never opened up in my portal. Since my file was SDS, I directly sent the documents via webform to the Ottawa office. I wanted to upload some bank statements and property papers. They got uploaded to my application about a month after I sent the webform. I only found out about the updation because I called up IRCC in Canada, and the agent told me that the documents sent through webform were added to my file. I did not get any updation in my GC key. Later when I ordered my GCMS notes, the notes mentioned the additional documents that had been added; so I know for sure that they were finally added to my application.

@Iveyapplicant no problem. You again sent another webform to IRCC Ottawa after receiving this reply? Or you received this reply after sending to Ottawa office? I couldn't get this

Did you got any confirmation mail from ottawa office that documnt has been attached to file?

hii.. i sent deferment letter to be attached through webform.. i got reply that document has been added and available for officer review. is der any chance of decision soon?
