Unknown Call claiming from immigration office

Hi friends, I got a strange call today. The caller said that he is calling from "Immigration Office" . At first he asked me that what is my status in Canada and did I have any confirmation (legal doc etc) to stay in Canada ? I told him that I have a valid work permit and I have already applied for PR. Then the guy said we found your name somewhere (The voice was not clear) and Indian or Canadian High Commission has asked him to verify my details. Suddenly the call got disconnected. I tried to call him again but the number was unavailable. Did anyone receive similar call ? Does these kinds of call are the part of the procedure? Now i have following things-

• I am only worried since this guy confirmed my date of birth first.
• I doubt that the call is false because his voice was not clear, it seems to be internet call
• This guy had no proper questiosns and the call finished in 40 seconds or so. Most of the time his voice was not clear

However I m publishing these numbers from where I got the call-
+591 6 232 4270 (I got call from this number first , I picked but the voice was not clear. Suddenly,phone got disconnected and I got call from following number)
+1 975 914 4384

The first code +591 is the code from Bolivia and 6 is the number reserved for cell phones there. So I doubt that this call was from Bolivia. The next number +1 975 914 4384 was not clear to me. After a small research I found that this is an invalid number too. Please share if you have some experience like this.

Though I am following this with CPC-O as well.

I would check with CPC-O directly. If you email them they should get back to you in a couple of days or so.

Few minutes ago my wife picked up my cellphone ( i was not at home at that time )and it was a call (number 613-960-0979) from CIC. The lady's voice was very clear, he introduced her self and premised to call back tomorrow.. And i really hope she will....

This sounds about right. CIC people will just introduce themselves right away, and use Ottawa area code 613, so whoever called the OP is most likely fraud...

OP.. if you are ever put your details anywhere on the internet to keep check of your current status of PR or whatever.. that could be the reason why..
Anyone that ask you to send them money or whatever is a fraud.. CIC will never do that.. if in doubt, just tell them, you will call them back through the CIC call center (Long wait times but better to be safe)
if you know they are a fraud... waste their time

Guys, please report to CIC in case you receive call like this. I did a mail to CIC and got response. CIC mentioned-

"Our office informs you not to send any money and also not to provide any information regarding your application if you receive a call again from this person claiming to be from CIC. Our office will be contacting you from this e-mail address only."

Guys beware of fraud.

+591 5 148 5008 - Didn't answer missed it.
+2 126 121 4007- again missed it. Lol

It was back to back call. No reason to believe that CIC called me as CEC application will open in another 3 months, and still about to receive file no. for FSW after 2-3 weeks.

+591 is country Code for Bolivia
and +2 is country code for for Zone 2 (Africa)
so in opinion you should not worry .
