Hi,

In the list of required documents, we need to submit original University sealed transcripts. What does this exaclty means? I am from india, Can anyone suggest me how to obtain this? Is it ok to send notarized transcripts? what are the other options if original transcripts can not be obtained?

Thanks

No you need the mark sheets in the University sealed envelope. Contact the University, they know what to do.

Hi sh7377
As PMM suggested, you will have to contact your college or university from which you graduated. I am from India, living in US and I just finished my Application about a month ago. I am still waiting for my AOR. I went to my university's web site and they had a nice little explanation as to how to get transcripts.
I had to send a written application with some money and mention a return address (mine) and another address (of canadian consulate, where I applied). University uses that address on sealed envelope containing the transcripts. Once you receive the sealed envelope, you can send it with rest of your application. Please make sure not to open the envelope when you send your application package.
Hope that helps.

hi , i ve been reading a couple of times about transcripts in university sealed envelopes.Does this rule applies to all Visa offices or is limited to some particular ones as London office site does not say anything about it. see wht it states.

For you and your spouse or common-law partner:
· Post-secondary education documents: vocational, technical certificates, degrees and/ or college or university diplomas:
include marksheets or transcripts
· Professional qualifications certificates: notarized professional qualification certificates should be submitted if available.
(e.g. Engineer, Computer Programmer, Accountant, Economist, Translator/Interpreter, Architect etc.)
i hope tht anyone could answer.

Way to go India!!! I wish the Russian bears were so organized and offered such service (paid indeed), a good way to make some extra bucks too. Alas, my university of Moscow (MGLU) doesn't do that... Has anyone sent the certified copies of the transcripts NOT from the university source???

For those of you which transcriptions will be issued by your university and send to you in language other than English: you should request not one, but two copies IN SEALED envelopes. Than open one envelope and take it for translation and notarization, then send to CIC BOTH copies - the sealed one, written in your language and the unsealed, but translated and notarized one. That should do it. I did the same and it worked just fine.

Paul III,

Thanks a million for the suggestion! That's exactly what I ended up doing: two envelopes, one of them officially translated and certified. Should I bother sending the copies of the actual diploma that i was issued or would that be superfluous? I guess it won't hurt to do so...
