UNIVERSITY REFUSAL CHANDIGARH VISA OFFICE, PLEASE HELP ME GUYS !!!!!!! PLEASE !!

Hello everyone,

I had applied for MEng. (Mechanical) in university of Guelph and my visa got refused by Chandigarh visa office. Reason for refusal was- Proposed program is not reasonable in light of past studies , academic scores and language abilities.

My profile is-

10th- 67%
Diploma in mechanical engg. - 67 %
B.Tech (Mech.)- 6.80 (CGPA)
one year certificate course (cad/cam)- 85%
IELTS- 7.0 bands (not less than 6)

When i cross checked my file i came to know about few mistakes-

1- In the column FUNDS AVAILABLE FOR STAY , my consultant just filled $10000 ( paid gic ) , i also have other funds and bank balances , which were not mentioned in that column.

2- In educational background column , Highest level of post secondary education was filled as my certificate course , but i think my B.Tech should've filled in that column.

3- There were also more than 26 pages just of my bank statements and certificates , i think over number of documents may have caused refusal.

Now i requested university to defer my admission to next intake and i also requested them to provide me a support letter. I wish to reaply for visa. PLEASE GUIDE ME WHAT SHOULD I DO. PLEASEEEEE IT's URGENT !!!!!!!

Thanks for your reply. University of Guelph is in process of formalizing mechanical as a field. I have contacted with university and they told me that they have current students studying mechanical and i can apply. My friend is also pursuing MEng. from same university and She told me the same that she has friends pursuing MEng (mech) from guelph.

And Uni of Guelph never mention field of study on Offer letter it's just MASTERS OF ENGINEERING. I don't think that this could be the reason :/

Now a consultant is saying me that try in concordia. I am confused that i should apply in guelph or concordia 2nd time.

But I think this is the reason for your refusal that Along with M.Eng. field was not mentioned,
Because then how come visa officer will know that you are heading towards mechanical field without any thing in written in all the documents.

So according to you what should i do ? My consultant told me that apply in concordia , But i think i have to learn french first. What are the other options/universities where i can get accepted.

or

If i attach the print of email from uni of Guelph stating about all that mech thing , will it make any difference ?

Yes, I think its better if you defer you admission in Guelph for Jan intake to be on the safer side because you've already got admission there. Its a pretty good university. Deadlines for most of the universities for Jan intake have passed. Applying just for Concordia can be tricky as you're not guaranteed admission there.
You must mention your stream(Mechanical). Also, your highest level of education would be B.Tech. Cant say much about funds only experienced members of this forum can help you.

I will reapply for Guelph. All of my friends who got visa for Guelph had same offer letter wit just MASTERS OF ENGINEERING , No field was mentioned, Can you please tell me that is there any chance to get visa 2nd time ? if i rectify the mistakes in new file and someone also told me that get a certificate from previous university stating that B.Tech is equivalent to B.Eng , Is there any need of this kind of paper ?

HI everyone..it seems you have decided with decision to reapply in the same university, but ill differ..i think you should apply in the course relevant to your previous study....and better if it's mentioned on the offer...opinion of one VO can be different from other..be always on the safer side ...Good Luck!!!

Hello shamipalmkt, thanks for your valuable reply.My program was relevant to my previous studies , After B.tech i chose Masters Of Engineering (Mechanical). But the offer letter just states the name of degree i.e MEng. Everyone from other fields also get the same offer letter and granted visa. I am confused as deadlines for other universities have already passed an i have left with only one option i.e deferring my offer to next intake.
