hi i have completed my bachelors in engineering this year from india in telecommunications and i am interested to apply for a post graduation program in I.T is it wise to go for a year long program in community college with co-op or prefer a two year old university masters , which is better in terms of job prospects for me as i dont have post graduation work experience .

Obviously Universities beats colleges anyday when it comes to the studies and job prospects. But then studying at college is cheaper than university. And if you get to join some good college job prospects would be good. Its a matter of choice in my opinion.rashmi routray said:

So it depends what level of expertise you want to gain in which field. Colleges also tend to have more specialized course when compared to Universities. But you get to learn much more with good study structure of universities. Than VISA chances are higher for University applicants, but you will have to appear for GRE and score good there. Waiting time for university LOA is usually more than that of colleges. I won't compare SPP possibility as its not sure if its going to be there post Jan '12 intake.
I know I must have confused you more than solving your issue, but my advice is if you have available funds, time, desire and you are willing to move to Canada for actual study purpose than go for University. Chances of getting VISA are a bit higher for University applicants than for College applicants. But keep in mind that University admissions open up early and close relatively early than colleges. Like right now its the perfect time to apply for May 2012 intake.

I think you can check on each university web site or college first. My research say Canada is only country who have same tuition fee for international and domestic student as well.
If you talk college cheap then I will say is wrong diploma fee from $15000 per year and above and master degree start from $2000 to 12000 per year tuition fee/
for example university of calgary tuition is $8000 p/y
alberta $8800 p/y
memorial $2000 p/y
etc

thanks all of you for replying to my query . . yep im still bit confused but still in terms of paypack which is better also employbility as i am a fresh graduate have no work experience so going for a post graduate diploma in terms of job prospects would be wise or should i opt for the more expensive uni degree wd is pay packs of uni grads more then college post grad diplomas
