It will be easy to guide u if ur share ur current status. Did u apply to the Univ.? Did u give IELTS?

Usual procedure:
1.online application to the univ
2.completing all conditions of the univ
3.apply for medical for visa
4.paying GIC and univ fees
5.Preparing docs for visa file
6.Applying complete file for visa
7.Finally get ur air-ticket

And ur will be in canada

i have like 66% in b.tech with 12-13 backlogs and my consultant told me that u can't apply for any good university bcz u have lot of backlogs and i have 7 bands in ilets L=8.5,R=7,S=6,W=6. i want to do masters program.

hey trishik... if u r willing to go for masters then u need strong academics..
U can apply to average universities well before time, as canadian universities give preferences to first applicant than to the later. They check academics after that.
U can try to apply avg or below universities, as at the end u will be have degree almost equivalent to other univ. but getting job will be purely on ur skills and luck.

Even if u get selected in univ., it will give u less chance to get visa as they might feel that ur academics does not suit for that master's program. So if u however want to go canada, then the best way is to get in some avg or above college, do ur PG, get some job of that field (getting job is easier for PG students than univ.), and then after some exp. u can apply for masters in any univ.
Meanwhile u might get chance to get ur PR.

Now its up to u to decide.
Going to better college rather than going to avg or below avg univ., is always preferred.
