Hi,

Sorry this might be off topic, but i need some help desperately.

Can you give some details of your profile? I am planning to apply for mechanical engineering Masters or diploma from canada. Can you also detail on the total costs for the course?

I have 60% in BTech and have 3yrs work exp in data analysis. Is there any chance for me to get into a masters?

Does anyone know whether I can apply for a study permit with a conditional admission letter?

Frankly speaking the universities that you have mentioned are the top notch universities of Canada and getting into these is quiet tough.
As to what I have experienced is that the canadian universities dont really look for your Btech percentage.
You should just clear the minimum requirements and the rest depends upon ur SOP and your resume,LORs etc.

I would suggest you to apply to 1 dream university
2 reach universities
and 2 safe universities.

Best of luck.

From what i know the university websites mention that they need 70% for the masters or 3.25/4 GPA. Can you tell me how i can convert my indian score to know if i meet the requirements? How was your degree scores converted to canadian GPA standards? I had approached a education consultant she told that my score (60%) is less and only a score of 70% and above in the indian scoring system can give u any chances.

Can you give some details on knowing how to understand the requirements of universities?

Dear kartz,
Whatever d consultants have told u is totally wrong.
U dont need any consultant they are just a wastage of time and money.
Go check in the university website on your own.
There are country specific requirements.
Check for the requirements for your own country and then apply.

You do not have to convert your percentage into cgpa.
The canadian universities have there own standards to do that.
Once you apply at any university , they will evaluate your transcripts according to their own considerations.

Hope it helps u.
Good luck.

It seems u applied for may intake.
Which engineering branch are u into?
I got acceptance for fall 2015.

No. My acceptance was for January intake but since my visa is still on process, things has been sorted out between my research supervisor and the CGSR that by end of Feb, a new acceptance letter will be released for a deferral on May.. Have you applied for a study permit, yet? From what country are you?

By the way, I applied for study visa using a conditional acceptance letter also. I have not taken the TOEFL yet when I was given the letter of acceptance.
