Ok, just called, and they said its still in the queue to be processed. So I should call back in about 2 weeks if I havent seen anything.

Well, it would seem that you applied really early. If I had completed the application along with all supporting documents by early January, I probably would have had a reply already. But as is, they didnt get all my documents until Jan 29. So looking at Dipta's timeline, I realized that it might take upwards of 34 days to get a response. I'm giving them till the 4rth - 8th of March to make a decision.

Embassy wont ever ask u to pay fees its up to u whether u wanna show payed receipts or Bank statement

for every type visa for Canada you need to pay processing fee of Canada High Commission.........
