One of my senior mate applied last time and he said me about it.

I have heard the same thing from one of my colleagues who applied last session and got rejected subsequently. On the other hand, it varies from department to department. Petroleum deptt has started finalizing; i have applied to ESE but my status hasn't changed as yet.
