University of Calgary Winter 2014 applicants

Hi,

I have applied for University of Calgary, MEng course (Computer Engg , ECE Dept) for Winter 2014 session.
Till now no reply from Univ. Anybody applied to the same course and got their acceptance letter ?

Another day passed but no information about the admission. Deadline as per UOC for admission decision is 30 Sept. Deadline for document submission was 30June. Its been 2.5 months now but no news so far. Anybody can confirm if its normal.

I have applied for University of Calgary, MEng course ( Mechanical ) for September 2013 session. it just took one month and half to get the letter of acceptance.Now, I've to defer my admission to Winter 2014 since I've not yet got the visa

Thanks for the response. Do they notify through email about the decision (+ve or -ve) . I sent an email to enquire about the status of my application but the standard reply was - decision will be done by 30 sept. The online website also does not show most current status, I had tough time during the submission because coordinator was saying all paper received but website was saying otherwise. Loosing hope.

Yes, they'll notify you through e-mail about the decision (+ve or -ve)... wish you all the best

I have applied for M.Sc. ECE . No response yet.

My friend who applied for the same, got rejection last week

30th Sep is the deadline. Only a week remaining

If possible can you please share the profile of the candidate that got rejected. Any idea about the cutoffs. Last info I know is that there were 1.5 times the application but you hardly find anybody who applied to ECE dept in this forum.

He had 76% in B.E. Electronic Engg 2011.

Hey, i also applied for m.engg in ece department for winter 2014. I also didn't get any decision yet.

It seems decision is not out for all the applicants who applied for MEng in Electrical and Computer Engg. GIC, Police clearance, medical will take their own sweet time. Looks like we are going to have a hard time even after getting admission letter.
