Hello,
My Fiance and I are planning to move to Vancouver, to allow her to go to Medical school in the Summer of 2017. She is a dual citizen ( US and Canada) and I am a United States citizen only. I'm currently employed as a CPA at an international firm in the United States. My fiance and I would be married before moving to Canada. Likely 8 to 9 months prior. I would be applying and testing to work as a Chart. Accountant in Canada.
For immigration and work permit purposes, what would be the most efficient process to be able to move and legally work in Canada? I have read there are exemptions for certain professional trades. Would a spousal sponsorship be approved in an 6-8 month period? What is the best way to go about this?
Any help or experience is greatly appreciated.
