I applied for study permit on 30 March 2017 and I also did my bio-metrics immediately.

It's over 3 weeks and I'm yet to get a final decision for my study permit application for my studies this September 2017 at Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Please has anyone in the United Kingdom got a final decision from IRCC for any program starting September 2017/Fall? And what do you think is the reason for delays?

Processing can take anywhere from a few weeks to a few months. What you're experiencing is perfectly normal. Nothing you can do but wait unfortunately.

The processing time for 80% off applications made in UK is 2 to 3 weeks. It's over 3 weeks now

Are you a UK national (i.e. UK passport holder)? If so, then I would agree it's taking a bit of time. If not, perfectly normal for processing to take a few months.

You can always submit a case specific inquiry to the visa office processing your application to request status.

I am not a UK passport holder. I am just a UK resident working in UK

In that case it's very normal (if not expected) for processing to exceed the posted processing times.

Yes it's now 4 weeks. Why is this happening? Can't they just contact the applicant for clarification, additional information or to address any concerns if that's one of the reason for delays.

Please let me know if they respond to you. I am in Lincoln

You will be notified if you need to provide biometrics after you apply.

The Office Address is
Canada Visa Application Centre
66 Wilson Street,
London

OH OK Thanks mate
let me know when you get visa as I have to apply in end of May or mid of june

@exd ... I am also based in Ireland and went to UK for submitting the Application Package to VFS. I needed Biometrics due to my country of origin and VFS took Biometrics along with the Visa Application.

Oh it means that I have to travel from Farore Island to UK for Biometrics? for this instance I have to apply for UK Visit Visa? this will be very hectic and expensive

Well, you first need to check if you need Biometrics. UK Visa from Ireland takes 3-5 working days for Urgent Processing (a bit expensive) and 15 working days for normal processing.

Anyone of you lately heard from the High Commission of Canada in London about your Student Visa?

Should we contact the High Commission of Canada in London seeking Visa Status?
