The document number and validity date is visible on the application status tracker. I submitted my passport to VFS Wafi Mall and was told I should get it back in 3-4 weeks. My passport has been with IRCC for 17 calendar days.

I submitted the Application through new IRCC portal on May 22nd 2023. And finally got the PPR for Visit visa renewal for my kid on Dec 1st.. and we have submitted the passport in du ai VFS.

My in laws application is undergoing a security check and the rest of the sections have been completed. Have still not received a decision.

Not yet. Might have to reach out the MP to contact IRCC on my behalf.

It's scary to see how long they take to process a simple visa application.

Unfortunately the MPs cannot do anything. The only thing we can do is to file a write of mandamus application which costs over $2500. Very disappointing to see what is happening.

Yeah and it seems that there is a mandamus backlog at the moment which compounds the issue even further. Not sure what to do at this point.
