We applied for my niece on March 30th and no reply till now. Why is it taking so long? The processing time on their website is incorrect.

This is disappointing. We have tried to contact CIC endlessly and they have not given us any helpful information. I have moved my wedding twice as I want my sisters family to be here. Both my sister and brother in law have valid visas but nieces passport expired resulting in the canadian visa expiring too. I pray that the file gets picked up. Good luck to you too
What is the point of giving processing times if they are not adhering to that? It is so helpless that you cannot do anything.
What is a PPR? is it a permit for permanent residency? Just asking because this thread is for TRV (visitor visa)

let me know if you know. it's been over a year for us on first application going into 6 months. My parents have jobs and can't take a vacation whenever the agent decides they can. This is ridiculous. At this stage we're gonna give up on this visa and just go meet them in europe where they've gone so many times and never had issues.
Yes, my mother-in-law is on a tourist visa in UAE and applied for Canadian visit visa from there. Strangely, she got her visa in only 2 weeks, while my fiancee has been waiting for 5 months now.
It is absolutely ridiculous I applied last year to no avail this year again waiting since April - people have plans which they don’t realize I have many other visas in my passport which I got without a delay or fuss .
It’s haphazard people applying in June 2022 are being issued visas in August what happens to those waiting before them - a big question
