Unit 202 or 555????/

I am awaiting my LMO results, but have received a file number. My pgwp is expiring in a week.
I submitted the application to Unit 202 "Same employer". However, I wonder if I should have submitted it to Unit 555, "new employer unit"???

I'm staying with the same employer. However, my work permit was open (pgwp) so I wasn't technically "tied" to him.
If I did submit it to the wrong address, should I resubmit my application to the right one???? Is there any recourse?

You should call the CIC hotline immediately and just check with them.. I was told by the agent that you need to write it in to them 2 weeks in advance before your PGWP and request for an extension (you will then be on "implied status).. 1 week is a little too late. I'm not sure if they can rush it for you.

What you did is correct because you are extending the permit for the same employer. It is the status of the "employer(new or same)" that determines which unit you send the application to not the type of permit you hold or are current applying for.

I think they mean 'within' two weeks and not sooner. As in, 2 weeks before expiry is the earliest you can apply for the extension.
You can technically apply 1 day before.

Oh I see.. That's good to know.. Thank you. I definitely won't be waiting till the last week myself.. It will just drive me crazy.
