How to know Unique Client Identifier is not fake?

Maybe you need to share your situation as to why you think it might be fake. At what stage are you in the immigration or permit process ? Are you using an agent / consultant ? Do you have a MYCIC account ?

*I read that about UCI, found that it has only 8 digits of 10 digits number (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=013&top=4). The UCI number is given by my representative is 9 digits, I am suspicious of it.
*My representative told me, after some days I will get a work permit and then start our visa processing. (now waiting for work permit)
*Yes, I am using consultant. He told me that is from Quebec, Canada.
