Let me be very honest with you. I don't want to demotivate you. Candidates with your GPA have been rejected by UoR for fall term. I suppose you have applied for summer intake. So keep your fingers crossed.

tell me one thing shahzaman , i am from best university of pakistan . where gpa system is hard . students from other universities having 70% marks but have cgpa3.0.

i have 74% marks but my cgpa is 2.81.

canadian universities wont see what university u come from. they have students from china with 3.8 and 3.9 gpa.. if they like a thing in ur application they will take u, if they dislike even 1 thing they will reject u..

i got accepted to UofA with gpa 2.85 for master in petroleum engg.

I do not recommend engineering at UoR to anyone because of corruption (the dean and his group loopy vs other loopies). There is a big issue between Grad studies and eng. The only positive thing there is the petroleum eng.

They have rejected a lot of people. I was also rejected by U of R. But then accepted my two universities i.e. Uni of Ontario, Institute of Technology (UOIT) and University of Ottawa (U of O) . I don't suggest you to apply for engineering program there. students of BCS were accepted, but majority of Engineering students were rejected.

Never work under Dr. Shahid Azzam. He takes your work and publishes it under his name as first author and you may not even get an acknowledgement.
