Hi,
I've been asked to try to find out some information on behalf of a professor at a university here, and I hope that someone here can please help us.
For a foreign student interested in spending time at a Canadian university as an undergraduate research trainee (not enrolled in courses in Canada, and receiving sponsorship from their own institution abroad), what LMIA category is appropriate? The relevant one appears to be R205-c with LMIA exemption code C44, and it appears to be for postdoctoral fellows (which this student is not) or award recipients - the student should fit into the latter category because of support from their home university. Does anyone know if this is correct (or have any better/other ideas)?
thank you very much for your help!
