I got my paper based pnp approved back in april. But then i also got invitation in express entry under CEC. I submitted my file in june. I was wondering under which category my file will be considered? CEC or PNP. i wanna know that because PNP takes longer than CEC.That will be great if someone is here with similar experience. Thanks in advance.

The question is: are you having 2 PR applications submitted at the moment?

nope my question is regarding processing time..as i was PNP candidate..but the pnp i got was for paper based application. but i didnt use it. I applied through express entry. However, PNP candidates usually have longer processing times than CEC candidates, So will they consider me as PNP candidate or CEC candidate given that i applied through CEC in express entry?

in other words, will my application take 4 months (average time for CEC) or 8 months (average time for PNP candidates)

If you claim points for PNP, then you will be considered as PNP candidate.
If you haven't claimed points for PNP, but got ITA with the CEC score solely, then you are a non-PNP candidate. It is as simple as this.

Thank you.. wish me luck..

You are saying that you are not using your PNP. Why do you think you will be treated as PNP?
i was just thinking cause i attached my pnp as well in my express entry profile cause i couldn't hide that from CIC

If you have added your PNP, then your CRS should increase by 600 points. But your signature mentions only 431.
What is the CRS points mentioned in your EE profile??
If it is more than 600, then you are a PNP candidate.

no thats 431. I only attached PNP as Supporting document. Didnt claim any points for that.

Ohh!! You already received ITA! Sorry for my confusion.

Still, since you haven't claimed points for the PNP, I believe you will be treated as CEC only. I am not sure if there were any cases previously like this. Maybe the seniors can help with this query.

Don't do that. You are just going to confuse the officer.
I had paper based PNP certificate also, but I never use it. Just keep it as a trophy.

Anyway, since you already did that, there is nothing you can do now rather than waiting.
