Hi! I hope to get some input on my problem. I came to Canada as a student. Unfortunately my papers were prepared by an agent who omitted info about me
Having a brother( only mentioned sister) and I was too young to understand that this is misrepresentation. I am pr for over 5 years already and also have a wife who I sponsored from my home county.
But now my brother wants to come to Canada too. I did my research and found out that this is a misrepresentation. And now I am very scared I will lose my status and will be deported from Canada if he attempts to enter. Is it really so? Please share your opinions if anyone in the same situation or maybe there is a way to still declare him?
Thank u for your input all forum members!

I assume you mentioned your brother when you applied for PR?

I don't think this should be a problem for you.

How is your brother planning on coming to Canada?

The issue is that I didn’t mention him. He wants to come on a student visa.

Pay for a consult with an immigration lawyer. I think it won't be a problem but you should confirm with a lawyer.

Even if a consultant helped you with the applications, you were still responsible for making sure the information in the study permit and PR application was accurate. You can't blame the agent for this.

Yes I understand I did a big mistake by not declaring him when applied for pr. But I was just too scared to be denied. And now with time I realize that things could have been done differently just needed to consult some differbt professional. Thank you, Scylla!
