Uncertain Future

I'm having a bit of trouble and I thought this would be the best place to get some guidance. I want to go back to school, I didn't finish my schooling in the states (I made it to grade 10 but only the beginning) then I dropped out. I could get into the whole reasoning behind that decision but lets just say my upbringing was pretty awful. My questions are as follows...

Is it at all possible to get a high school diploma here in Canada?
^^If not, what kind of career can I hope for with a GED if I get one? I've read alot of things that say a GED won't get me far.
Can I get into a college or university without a diploma? OR with a GED? I'm looking to get into either nursing or something to do with computers (technology)

Any advice, guidance would be really appreciated.

what is your status in Canada ? or you outside ?

enrol to online degrees - there are lot many that are offered - you can simultaneously work too that can support the tuition

Inside...a permanent resident. I have looked into that but they seem to also require a diploma :'( and also I've read that even a diploma from an accredited university/college may not be accepted by an employer.

if you are looking for a online degree, carrier colleges do offer them - there are lot many in Canada., you may have to source and call them
