Just want to share my story as the result is totally out of my expectation.
My PGWP expire on March 24th, I got AOR on March 28th, application for BOWP submitted online on March 29th (I remember the dates wrong so I thought my PGWP didn't expire).
10 days later, I realized my mistake and filed a CSE. In the letter, I admitted my ineligibility, clarified it's not misrepresentation and that I know I shall be rejected. I also asked the officer to consider giving me Visitor status otherwise I would have to leave Canada.
Today, I got an approved BOWP with new expiry date of 2019-04-20. I am really surprised by the power of LOE and how fast they process the wp extension (two weeks in my case).
p.s. This was my question a week ago
