But I've not heard of many doing what you seem to be claiming, applying inland, leaving before eCOPR, and then getting a PPR/COPR/visa issued abroad. I have not heard of many such cases. And I wouldn't call it common.
Truth is born in debate, I agree, but it's getting excssive. Dont you think? :)

One more time. Try to google this very forum and see how many cases are out there of those who need to travel out of Canada, not for a short trip, before getting an eCOPR.

Neither of these explain your comment that it's 'even harder to come to Canada and get landed before you get your copr'. As above: this is both quite common and explicitly addressed by IRCC policy, including issuing (IRCC claims preferentially) such visas as 'family reunification.' And of course ETA holders don't need a special visa in order to do so. IRCC instructions (usually) tell such individuals in Canada when PPR/approval comes to advise in order to arrange virtual landings.
People who can get ETA or other types of "visa" are not as many as the ones who need visa to enter Canada and who would never get it unless they apply for PR. That's what I meant.

Have a good weekend.

You are dodging the question.

One more time: please be specific. The question is not how many are in Canada, and needing to go on a trip, whether short or not. The question is whether there are "many", as you claim, so many as to be common, who have applied inland, and who are specifically getting COPR/visas issued abroad despite being inland applicants.

Are there many or not? Are you saying this is specifically what happened in your case.

Okay. But that's not a comment about how it's harder to complete the landing procedures in Canada or 'come to Canada and get landed before you get your COPR', but that it's hard for some - doing outland of necessity - to get a visa at all until their file is complete.
