Unauthorized work

Let me explain this case. I applied for permanent residence under CEC class on July 26th 2012. I showed my work experience from April 2010 to July 2012, a total of 2 year 3 months.

Now, my last work permit was based on my spouse's work permit, which expired on 30 Nov 2011. I applied before the date of expiry, however, was notified by CIC on 10 Jan 2012, that my work permit got denied, because my spouse was not working under category A or B. Here, i need to explain that my wife was working under category B, however, her employer gave a wrong job letter. Anyways, I applied again for restoration within 2 days, and received the restored work permit on 2 Feb 2012. These 20 days, I was working at my old place. I made a great mistake !!

Now, any of the senior friends, could you please tell me whether my PR application will be refused based on this? I am very very worried. Please help. What will be my next step? I guess I am in a great trouble. Please please help !!! I am supposed to get the medical request by next week or so...Please anybody HELP !!!

Yes, implied means as long as CIC is processing the application. The OP's first work permit extension was rejected in March 2012, so he no longer had implied status at that time and was supposed to stop working. He applied for restoration of status and got the permit in Aug 2012.

If the work permit expired on Nov 2011, so implied status means as long as CIC is making the decision on the new work permit application, right? OR, is there any fix amount days, suppose 90 days, that you are in implied status after the expiry of your work permit. Please advice.

CIC raised query on my PR application due to 2 months unauthorized work after my work permit got rejected. But my employer did not inform me about the work permit rejection and continued me to work. I thought my work permit was in the process. My employer filed another restoration application and CIC approved my work permit. My employer did not inform me anything about all this. How can I proceed further? Can I make a complaint against my employer to CIC? Seniors please advice.

Did you speak with any lawyer? Are you re-applying or appealing. I have almost same situation as yours. Didi worked for unauthorized work for 22 days. I don't know what will happen. Just waiting for the reply from CIC. Please update me bro. Thanks.

Hello, Saphire27, did you talk to any immigration lawyer about your case? I worked in the restoration time, I confused the restoration and implied time, I am searching for the solution deadly, please update your situation, so it can help all members who suffer the same situation. thank you

I am facing almost the same problem as yours, and I am searching a trustworthy lawyer for some legal suggetions? now, one of my friends gets the same rejection, crap. I have a kind of similar situation. My work permit was rejected on Feb 02, (the date indicated on the letter), but I received the rejection letter on Feb 12, 2013. I worked for those 10 days as I was not aware of the rejection. I stopped working from the day I received the rejection letter. I have explained this in my forms as well. Now I am worried if it can lead to rejection of my PR Application as it will be considered unauthorized work! Any solution to this issue?

If you stopped working when you received the letter, and explained it, it shouldn't be a problem. Besides, if you did not stop working they can tell from your paystubs or income.
