Unauthorised work experience....urgently need advice....!!!!

I am on a closed work permit since October 2011. I quit my job in Dec, 2011 due to some reason and applied for federal skilled worker category. Last year i.e June 2012, I found one employer who applied LMO for me and my consultant advised me to take pay cheque from him. I took one pay cheque without LMO approval. Now, my LMO got rejected twice and I got T4 from my employer who applied for my LMO. I was unauthorised to work under any employer but still i got one pay cheque. I am worried now what will I explain to CIC if they ask me NOA for year 2012. Recently, I applied for CEC as well. Please guys suggest me what could be done in this situation?

When you worked in 2012, did you at least have a valid work permit? If yes, my guess is that they will credit you for work earlier as it was authorized, but this work will not be given credit. If you lie or attempt to deceive them, they may list you as inadmissible and you stand to lose much more than refusal to PR.

My suggestion is you come clean. So you worked one month without LMO? If you quit working afterwards and waited for proper work permit, your best option is to disclose that you worked without authorization for a short period of time, admit it was a mistake, and declare that you corrected it.

In all cases, I suggest contacting a lawyer who can draft a letter to explain all this. If you lie, they may find out and it's big trouble. If you are honest, they may deny PR but still allow you to stay on work permit.

I am sorry, I don't understand.

I am in HR and therefore i need further explanation.

1) So you worked for an employer while you were waiting for your LMO (through that employer) to be accepted - you were actually working for that employer while you were still waiting to hear back from the LMO guys about your acceptance or refusal of LMO?

2) Also, when the employer paid you the money/check did he pass it through his PAYROLL or did he just give you a check?

Because if he has given you a T4 then he did actually pass it through PAYROLL. But, i would like you to confirm it.

Because if he has given you a T4 then he did actually pass it through PAYROLL. But, i would like you to confirm it.

If the check was given to without processing it through payroll then you would have been okay. Dude, you seem like a smart guy, taking all these risks and all, how could you not be careful about payment and forget to make sure that it is on no records and under the table (so to speak) atleast until your LMO got accepted or NOT.

Anyway, my advice is to come clean, don't f**k this up any further, let them know what really happened, as THIS IS CANADA and they go by what is in BLACK AND WHITE, and your BLACK AND WHITE is all over the place!

Tell them the truth and do not follow any un-ruly advices here. Honesty is the best policy.

Was this greedy money hungry consultant an Indian ?
Cos we have a reputation of cheating and fooling people ... u see

I am 37 and have been around and I tell you there are cheaters and liars in almost all countries, even in Canada. I can tell you many stories I have seen or heard. Bottom line is cheating has no nationality or color.
But as far as cheating and lying goes, I have been 100% honest with CIC and I have been trying to immigrate since 2001, and MP told me a few weeks ago I might need to wait 6 or 7 more years because I am self employed.
I know some people who "exaggerated" their application and resume and now they are permanent residents or citizens. I know people who got rejected, then lied and applied again, and now are citizens.
CIC is not just.

That's the problem with CIC ... honest people are left hanging cos cheaters and liars find loopholes and drill through the system. And the face that there is nothing u can do about it makes one really angry.
And there isn't any option for people like u and me to knock on cic's door and tell them what a mistake they r doing. So all we can hope is for our app to go thru well and we get where we want to go.
I know many many people too who have lied on their resumes and are now living a happy life with no hassles... in this world its always the wrong doing people (or at least most of the times) that achieve their goals

You have the right to the freedom to your opinions not the right to the freedom of hurting anyone elses beliefs and originality.

Freedom does not mean dis-respect, it means equality and your jokes about India are very hurtful. Have respect for your birthplace and if you don't have respect that keep your opinions to yourself cause your freedom of speech is disrespecting my country of origin and I will not stand for that.

Is there any way you can also manage a part-time skilled job(with an employer) just so you can obtain 1 year work experience and apply under CEC or federal skilled worker program? 6 - 7 years is too long, rules can change.

So, i think i should hope that they dont ask me the details of employment for year 2012 and if they ask, i should simply say that i dont not have the NOA for 2012. By doing this, they will automatically reject my application coz they wont get requested documents on time. By revealing the unauthorised work, there are chances that i will be banned for 2 years. So, for safe side and to keep my record clean i think i should not provide them the requested docs. what you guys suggest on this?
