Hi everyone,

This may sound like a silly question but it's driving me crazy!

After spending hours filling out Forms IMM 5669 (Schedule A – Background/Declaration ) and IMM 5490E (Sponsored Spouse/Partner Questionnaire ) for Application for Permanent Residency through Family sponsorship, I am now unable to change or update the form in any way! I get a message that "Adobe Reader special features are no longer valid". I can see the data but cannot edit the information.

Does anybody know how to enable editing again? Please help!! Thank you!!

You can't save changes or edit it after you've done it. Once you've completed it, you have to print it right away. I really don't know why they've done this...so you just have to sit down and do it all at once and print it.

there is one alternative way..

use foxit...instead of acrobat..you can save what you write in the form and can get print out according to your conveneince..

Thank you to the philantropist!!!!!!!! Foxit did the trick, it worked like a charm :-) I can't thank you enough for your help, you saved me from having to re-fill the forms again!

I can't eve edit in Foxit Reader after the first time opening it...what's the point of a fill able PDF form if you have to do it all in one hit. Very strange.

Hi

I was in the same confused state 6 months ago. My problem was solved by getting Acrobat X ...version

Then you can save and edit unlimited times

good luck

It's a bug in older versions of Adobe acrobat reader. You need to update to at least version X. This will not recover from use by a previous version. You have to start from scratch. You can't use the Linux versions as they're too old.
